As a lover of college basketball, my adopted Maryland Terrapins go to Chapel Hill and beat the Number 1 North Carolina Tar Heels 82-80. The 18 point underdogs win in the vaunted Deandome. The turtle has not been feared to date this season, but maybe, just maybe this will give the young Terps the quality win that they can build on.

A new number 1 team in college basketball can be expected in the polls this week. WOW! Gotta love ACC hoops. Even more scary was switching to ESPN and see the Duke fans cheering Maryland on. My guess is I won't be witnessing that expression next Sunday night.

Having gone to VMI and living in Virginia, I haven't been a big Terps fan, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Congratulations! No doubt, ACC basketball is a highly competitive conference due to the "razor-thin margins" between teams in terms of ability. I wonder if game theory or empty core applies?
